Q&A with Our Patron, Julissa!

julissa

Meet Julissa, a Brentwood Public Library superfan! She’s been enjoying the library so much recently that she wrote a school essay all about it.

“Many people don’t think libraries are fun, but I’ve come to realize that they are, which is why the Brentwood Public Library is the best library on the planet!” -essay excerpt.

This makes us SO happy, Julissa! We are thrilled to hear how much you like, and utilize the library. Thank you for sharing your essay and letting your friends and the community know how much the library has to offer. We are lucky to have you as our patron!

When we were given a copy of Julissa’s 4th grade essay, we thought it would be fun to follow up and ask her some questions about herself and what she likes about the library.  Here is our short interview:

How long have you been coming to the library? “I started coming about a month ago.”

What’s the best library program you’ve been to so far? “Lego Building Extravaganza because it allows creativity.”

What is your favorite book? “Cucumber Quest and The Tea Dragon Society, they are graphic novel series.”

Do you have any advice for people who haven’t visited the library yet? “The library is not a boring place, it's so much fun and has games to offer.”

What do you want to be when you grow up? “A journalist, I like writing.”
