Huckleberry Finn
Musical version of Twain’s novel about a boy’s adventures on the Mississippi river.
This is an entertaining sequel to “Tom Sawyer”, which was released a year earlier. It stars Jeff East(who had played Huck in the previous film) and Paul Winfield. The script and songs for both films were written by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, who won two Academy Awards for “Mary Poppins”.

Les Miserables
A marvelous concert version of the popular musical, based on Victor Hugo’s novel about people caught up in the French Revolution.
This is the legendary 25th staged concert of the world’s most popular musical, and it’s much better than the Hugh Jackman/Russell Crowe movie. It features a wonderful cast, led by a magnificent Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean. The finale, featuring many members of the show’s international touring casts, is awesome!

Peter O’Toole and Sophia Loren star in this musical adaptation of Cervantes’ “Don Quixote.” Songs include “The Impossible Dream” When the movie was released in 1972, critics called it one of the worst musicals ever made.
