The Idea Lab is the library's makerspace for children and teens. Idea Lab programs offer fun STEAM learning opportunities for Brentwood students. The Idea Lab is a place for kids to tinker, create, and build their skills.


Idea Lab programs are noted in our newsletter. Space is limited and registration with a Brentwood library card is required.

Idea Lab with 3Doodler Pens!

On Sunday, December 22nd we had Idea Lab!

The children used our 3Doodler Pens which are 3D pens and can create anything you'd like! 

In the pictures you can see that some of our makers made a bracelet, a guitar, and glasses all out of the 3D pen!

Tinker Lab Fun

Children had fun in Tinker Lab putting together Snap Circuits and building LEGOs.

With summer's departure and the new school year beginning, our Idea Lab now has different times. Below are the times for Idea and Tinker Lab through October. Please keep in mind, registration is required. Look forward to seeing all of our makers!

Summer in the Idea Lab

This summer, children ages 5-12, came to Brentwood Public Library's Idea Lab to create, code and tinker in STEAM based programs. They were held once a week for the children to enjoy and work together with their fellow makers.
