Planting For A Fall Harvest

Garden

Here at the Brentwood Seed Library, we can hardly believe we’ve reached the middle of summer! We hope you've been enjoying working on your garden and harvesting your own produce!

Did you know it’s not too late to start certain vegetables we have in our seed library? Beans, kohlrabi, lettuce, mustard, and peas can be planted now for a fall harvest. In Brentwood, our average first freeze date occurs around the final days of October. Knowing this helps us decide when to start seeds.
