Es más probable que sigas adelante con el estudio y la práctica si tienes un objetivo definido en mente.
Ya cuando haya determinado su objetivo o "por qué," el "cómo" se vuelve más fácil; su meta lo dirigirá a los recursos que necesita y los objetivos que desea alcanzar. When thinking of learning a new language like English, most people think of grammar, pronunciation, and speaking. While these are important in learning a new language, they can be too general in focus.
Take a New Approach: A strategic way to approach learning a new language like English is to go from asking how ---how do I learn the grammar, pronunciation, and speaking--- to asking why—why am I learning English, what goals do I want to achieve by learning English? The goals can be anything from getting a better job, becoming a citizen, to being able to make a doctor’s appointment or speaking to your child’s teacher. Setting a goal helps you focus your learning and gives you specific objectives to work towards. More importantly, setting a goal helps keep you motivated.
You are more likely to follow through with study and practice if you have a definite goal in mind.
Once you have your goal or “why” determined, the “how” becomes easier; your goal will direct you to the resources you need and the objectives you want to achieve. For example, if your goal is to learn English so that you can work as a home health aide, you would look for resources that focus on English vocabulary, dialogue, and practice for health care professionals.
