"Shatter Me" by Tahereh Mafi is by far one of my favorite dystopian books. It is book 1 in a series of 11 books, with 6 novels and 5 novellas. It's a story about the life of Juliette Ferrars who has a special power and struggles to live with it. She made mistakes in her past but she never wanted to harm anyone. She reunites with the only boy who wasn't afraid of her and they go through some horrifying experiences together. My favorite part of this book is how the author puts strikethroughs on words to really get her readers to see that Juliette is unsure of everything and the chaos that is in her mind. I recommend this book for teens 14 and up because it's a riveting story of change and can make you think about what you would do in that situation.
