Museum Pass Program


The Brentwood Public Library is offering museum passes to adult Brentwood Public Library patrons,

18 and older, who have a valid Brentwood Public Library card in good standing. The passes allow cardholders to gain free admission to these museums:

 

• Brooklyn Botanic Gardens • Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum
• Cradle of Aviation Museum • Old Bethpage Restoration Village
• Children's Museum of the East End • Old Westbury Gardens
• Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society • Long Island Children’s Museum
  • Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium

Guidelines

 

  • Each pass may be borrowed for up to 3 days. Please reserve the pass for the date you wish to go to the museum. It will be due back the next day. If the library is closed on that day, it will be due back the next day the library is open.

  • You must pick up your reserved pass after 3pm on the pick-up date (day before visit) and return it by 12pm on the return date.

  • You may reserve one pass at a time in a 1 month period. Passes may be reserved up to 60 days in advance.

  • Reservations can be made in person, by phone (631-273-7883, ext. 123), or online through our museum pass software available on our website (http://brentwoodnylibrary.org). Please have your library card with you when placing your reservation and when picking up your pass.

  • Each museum decides on how many people the pass admits. Guidelines for each pass can be found by clicking “Pass Details” on the reservation page.

  • A fee of $20 will be charged for each day the pass is late. $150 dollars will be charged if the pass is lost. Once the pass is reported lost, it loses all value.

  • If the pass you are reserving is lost or comes back late from a previous patron, the library may not be able to honor your reservation.

  • Museum passes may be picked up and returned at the Adult Reference Desk or Program Registration Desk in the library. Passes must be returned to the Reference Desk or Program Desk to be checked in properly. Passes may not be dropped off in the Book Drop and they cannot be renewed.

  • Please call the Registration desk prior to coming in for your museum pass to confirm the pass is ready for pick up.

  • If you wish to cancel or change your museum pass reservation, you may do so online or by calling or visiting the library.

    Museum Pass Agreement

     

    • The Brentwood Public Library is offering museum passes to adult Brentwood Public Library patrons, 18 and older, who have a valid Brentwood Public Library card in good standing. Only one Museum Pass may be checked out to a patron in a one month period.  Only one Museum Pass per household may be checked out at a time.  Museum Passes may be picked up at the Program Registration Desk and must be returned directly to the Program Registration Desk on the due date. Passes may not be returned in the Book Drop. In order to ensure that the Museum Pass will be available for the next patron, passes must be returned on time.  If not, a late fee of $20 per day will be charged. Passes may not be renewed.

    • Any user who loses a Museum Pass will be charged the replacement cost of $150.00.

    • Each pass may be borrowed for up to 3 days.  Passes should be reserved for the date you plan on going to the museum.  It will be due back the next day.  If the library is closed on that day, it will be due back the next day the library is open.

    • Reservations can be made in person, by phone (631-273-7883, ext.347, 305, 306, or 307), or online through our museum pass software available on our website (http://brentwoodnylibrary.org).  You will need your library card when placing your reservation and when picking up your pass.

    • Each museum decides on how many people the pass admits.  Guidelines for each pass can be found by clicking “Pass Details” on the reservation page.  You will need to bring your library card for ID at the Museum.

    • If the pass you are reserving is lost or comes back late from a previous patron, the library may not be able to honor your reservation.

    • If you wish to cancel or change your museum pass reservation, you may do so online or by calling or visiting the library.

    • Although information about each museum is provided as a courtesy, the library cannot guarantee its accuracy hours and pass details and to get directions and parking information.
